It is our goal to pursue ecologically sustainable and respectful solutions to how we operate our business and live on this land. As our guest we ask for your support. During your stay please be conscious of your impact on the land, wildlife, people and structures around you.
Pets: To minimize interference with the surrounding wildlife and to prevent giardia from infecting our drinking water, we ask that your pets be left at home.
Smoking: The lodge is fitted with smoke detectors. Smoking is OK outside, but not inside the lodge. Please don't throw cigarette butts on the ground.
Cars: The lodge property is largely a car-free zone. Guests are asked to park vehicles in our lot and walk five minutes to the lodge.
Waste: We continue to work on minimizing the waste created at the lodge and ask that guests help by considering green solutions to their events. We strongly discourage the use of disposable dishes and will charge a $ 25 environment fee if they are used.
Footwear: To reduce wear on our soft tiles and to lessen the load on our cleaners, outdoor footwear is not permitted inside the lodge. You may want to bring slippers or soft-soled, non-marring "indoor" shoes.
Campfires: Fires are allowed in the two supplied firepits. Fire bans are usually in effect in July and August. Check with the BC Protection Branch for status. We provide minimal firewood, and do not allow gathering on our property, you may need to bring your own firewood.
Wildlife: This is bear country. If you are camping please don't keep food or toiletries in your tent.
Noise: Out of respect for neighbors and wildlife, music is to be kept indoors. Inside, 2:00 AM is quiet time. For parties wanting a powered sound system to continue past 2:00 AM, there will be a $40 per hour staffing charge. Arrangements must be made in advance, at time of booking confirmation.
Water: Mulvey Creek is refreshing, but it is our source for drinking water. If you want to cool down, splash all you want but keep your butt out of the creek!
